That's how the Hebrews would write it, when they wrote the name of God. They leave out the 'o' because it is simply to holy of a name to say or write. Now, that is honor. That stands alone as the number one, top dog, most valuable player, most important, highest authority, bomb-diggety...you get the picture. I think such adoration and honor is rare these days. I remember the scripture that warns, "the love of most will grow cold in the last days". So, if love dies, that tells me God isn't the priority. Or you might say, the connection is lost, since God is Love. No love, no God. Know love, know God. I like that. Simple.
Thing is, this morning I was directed to read Revelation by the Spirit. He hit me between the eyes and seemed to be speaking to me when He said, " you've forgotten your first love". I guess sometimes you can't move forward until you go back. That's what I'm encouraged to do today. Go back to my first love. Make it the Big Love. No other Gods before it. No self-made idols. Connect again to that passion. Fan into flame, that gift of the Holy Spirit, my faith. Raise this relationship up to the highest of high points of my adoration and worship. Truly live in my first l_ve.
