Ephesians 2:1-10.
Every redeemed believer carries this testimony: we were once dead in our sins. We lived as enemies of Christ. We followed the ways of the world, where Satan is in charge. We lived to satisfy ourselves. Our minds were depraved. But because of His great love for us, God made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our sin!!!!! This is grace defined. We did nothing to deserve this. Jesus is the way this can be true. This is God's gift to mankind through Jesus. We no longer have to feel like we have to 'earn' salvation by doing certain amounts of works. He has prepared work for us to do after we decide to surrender our lives to His will/plan. As we will see, there are many things His church can be doing as we walk out our faith. He intends to use the gifts of His diverse church to bring Him glory and to bring others into His adopted family.
We must be strong in grace. We must be strong in faith. We must be strong in working for the Lord. We must be strong in our testimonies about what God has done for us.
