Isaiah 46-50.
Ch. 46.
*v4. "I am He who will sustain you." He is my source, my well-not idols.
*v11. "What I've said, that will I bring about; what I've planned, that will I do." We can count on His promises coming true.
*v13. He is bringing salvation (Jesus) to Israel. They will believe eventually.
Ch. 47.
*v8,10. Will I say, "I am, and there is none besides me."?
*v10. Will I act as if, "no one sees me."?
*Babylon-beautiful city, pleasure, riches, comfort, selfishness, wickedness.
Ch. 48.
*v12. "Listen to me, O 'Dan', whom I have called: I am He." It's about Him, not me.
*v17. "I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go."
*v18,19. If I pay attention to His commands, I'll have peace, righteousness, legacy, life.
*v22. "There is no peace for the wicked."
Ch. 49.
*v6. "I will also make you a light to the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation the ends of the Earth."
*He will restore Israel. They were destroyed and scattered abroad, but they will all return from distant places.
*v23. "Those who hope in me will not be disappointed."
*v25. "I will contend with those who contend with you."
*v26. "All mankind will know that I, the Lord, am you Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of 'Dan'."
Ch. 50.
*v4. "Instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens my ear to listen like one being taught." I have to stay in the word and let it become me. I need a teachable heart and cooperative spirit.
*v7. "I set my face like a flint and I know I will not be put to shame." Have confidence and be determined-like Jesus.
*v8. "He who vindicates me is near. Who then will bring charges against me? Let us face each other!"
