Isaiah Chs. 41-45.
Ch. 41.
*who has done all this? "I", the Lord.
*v.9-11. "Your are my servant. I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish."
*Idols=bad news.
Ch. 42.
*"Here is my servant." - Jesus. "He will not shout or raise his voice..." "He will falter or be discouraged."
*"to open the eyes that are blind, to free captives, to release from the dungeon those that sit in darkness."
*"I am the Lord; that is my name!"
*Sing to the Lord a new song. Praise Him!
*"For a long time I have kept silent and held myself back, but now..."
*"You have seen many things, but have paid no attention; your ears are open, but you hear nothing."
Ch. 43.
*"Fear not when you pass through waters, rivers, fire."
*"I am the Lord, you God."
*"You are precious and honored in my sight. - I love you!"
*"You are witnesses to the fact that I am the Lord."
*"that you may know and believe me and understand that I am He!"
*"I am your King."
*"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past."
*"I blot out your sins for my own sake, and remember your sins no more."
Ch. 44.
*"Do not be afraid."
*Those who make idols are nothing. The things they treasure are worthless. Those who speak up for them are blind. They are ignorant.
*"Return to me, for I have redeemed you!" Sing for joy! Shout!
Ch. 45.
*"I will go before you." "Apart from me, there is no God." "I will strengthen you." "I bring prosperity and create disaster-I, the Lord, do all these things."
