Isaiah. Chs 16-20.
Ch. 16.
*God rules in love and faithfulness; tough love.
Ch. 17.
*God's judgment is good and true. It inspires His creation to turn and look to Him.
*Give up my idols; doing my own thing, what I want.
*Don't forget God. We tend to "build" our own kingdoms.
*On my own strength, I can accomplish/bring growth, but it won't last and it might not be real or of God.
Ch. 18.
*God's timing is always perfect.
Ch. 19.
*Nations will be converted and convinced about God.
*Sometimes God's lack of involvement/engagement is His grace and mercy to us because if He were to interfere, we would be ruined/destroyed.
*Enemies can become friends in the Lord; Unity.
Ch. 20.
*We need to rely on God, alone, not counting on our own provision/abilities/strengths.
*His presence, purpose, and plan breaks down our strongholds, strengths, and pride-for our own good, because He really does love us.
