Forgiveness. There is great power in forgiveness. First, we must realize the power in forgiving those who have wronged us or others. When we forgive others, we release them to the Lord in faith, that He would do the utmost thing possible to redeem them. We can count on Him to give His best to reach them. Further, when we forgive others, it frees us to be the men He calls us to be, men of love. It shows greater love to release and forgive, entrusting them to the Father, than holding on to the offense. Let it go. Let them go. Pray they receive their healing. Then, it is our turn to receive forgiveness for our sins. We must lay aside our burdens and weaknesses, akin to laying them down at the foot of the cross. But we remain hollow and unfulfilled if we refuse to believe in faith that He truly forgives us. When we receive forgiveness, we receive Him. We receive life, as if we have been emptied and refilled again with pure life and spirit. Perhaps we walk around unforgiven too often. Perhaps we are missing out on the power of believing in true forgiveness. Be filled with the Holy Spirit and walk out in forgiveness and faith.
