"It seems more like this Jesus came to destroy religion and to bring life.  This really is the heart of what I found as a young teenager: Christ comes to make us free, to bring us life in all its fullness." - Bear Grylls.

Following our pattern of study in the Power of X's and O's, God wants to give us 'life'.  We receive this life by giving ourselves, or dying to ourselves daily.  It's a beautiful transaction He has written into the design of His creation.  A seed must die when planted, before bursting forth with new life into maturity and fulfilling its purpose.  He followed this design Himself, as He died for us, then raised back to new life by the power of God.  May we not gloss over this profound, basic truth: He's not dead anymore.  He's not still on the cross.  He's alive!  In faith, this makes the good news of the gospel possible.  This allows Him to be with us and go before us.  This brings us life, here and now.  We don't have to wait until we die and go to heaven to have life.  He is extending the offer to us here on Earth, through the power of His Holy Spirit, to have a full, meaningful relationship with Him.  We can fulfill His purpose for our lives.  We can be friends with Almighty God. We can overcome and withstand the storms of this physical life.  We can be extensions of His hand to the people He so much cares about.

Ah, there is so much to this topic of 'life'.  So much so, that we might just branch out and study this more deeply.  May we catch on to the fire of this message.  He came to bring us life, not death.  He is our life.  We are dying to ourselves to allow His life to flow through us.  No more walking zombies.  May we truly live.
