Love Wins. Through the world’s eyes, it looked like
Jesus was losing as he died on the cross:
beaten, mocked, cursed, betrayed, humiliated, and broken. As followers of Christ, we all will
experience some of the same things. God
wants us to know that how things appear doesn’t necessarily capture the whole
truth of what’s going on behind the scenes.
Truly, Jesus’ death seemed to turn out pretty good as he arose from the
grave, conquering death and hell, as glorious, Almighty God! Sometimes we just need to be reminded that we
are winning, that God is winning, that God is love, and that Love wins. As we draw nearer to God in knowing him and
the passion wells up within us, each person’s unique gift comes alive to be
used by the Master. Now as we walk together
through tough times, we can confidently say, “Do your worst, Satan, for while I
am alive, Christ will be glorified as he fulfills his purpose for me, and if I
die, I’m going to heaven, baby! Yeah!”.
Love Wins.
(2 Tim. 1:6; Phil. 1:21; Mal. 4:2)
Turn it up, Lord. Make Your music loud. Send Your freedom; bring me life. Crank it up, Lord. Make Your voice be heard. Send Your truth and bring me life. This gift inside, won’t You fan into flame? For to live is Christ and to die is to gain! Somebody tell me that love wins! I want to hear that love wins! Love wins. Tell me love wins. Yeah. Fire it up, Lord. Make Your spirit rise. Send Your power; bring me life. Light it up, Lord. Make Your healing soon. Send Your peace and bring me life.
