2.
Brothers
(Jude 23; James 5:19-20; Prov. 18:24; Gen
4:9-10; John 15:13; 2 Cor. 11:29)
Fire
raged on and on. We had a job to do.
We
heard that one of our own had wandered from the truth.
The
order was given, we were sent to restore him,
And
snatch others from the fire who had gone astray and
save them.
What have you done? Where’s your brother now?
Listen as his blood cries out from the
ground.
I’ve never held the hand of another grip
so sure.
A hand from
above as He rescued me.
In
the rubble we found him, kneeling over another.
One
who had given His life in the place of our brother.
I
can see that you’re weak, but I feel weaker.
Someone
lead you away, inside I burn for you, are you not his keeper?
Make
way, make way, for he has risen from his sin.
Whatever
it takes, we’ll not leave one behind.
There
is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Greater
love than this no man can find.
