Chapter 15

Summary Notes:

·         Mack participates in a festival of lights, standing on a small hill with Sarayu.

·         The stars moved in motion, not hurriedly, but smoothly and with precision (p209).

·         Each relationship is unique.  We love each differently (p213).

·         The adult who is having difficulty keeping in what he’s feeling turns out to be Mack’s dad (p215).

·         “Mack runs towards his father, a little boy wanting his daddy, and for the first time, he was not afraid” (p215).

·         Mack says the words he had always wanted to say:  “I’m sorry.”  (p215)

·         A love greater than either one healed them (p215).

·         Jesus emerges in a simple white garment, with a simple gold crown, every inch the king of the universe (p216).

·         Different types of worship (p216).

·         Jesus whispers to Mack, “I’m especially fond of you.”  Mack slumps to the ground (p216).

·         Jesus spent time with each person for as long as they needed (p216, 217).

·         Mack’s vision returns to normal, and he feels sad, loss, longing (p217).

·         Jesus came alongside, took his hand, and squeezed it to let Mack know everything was as it should be (p217).
