Remember
(Ps. 34:8; 98:3; Isa. 55:1; Lk. 22:17-20; Jn. 4:14; 15:1-8)
So many times, slipped my mind.
Just going through the motions, a grape can’t get to
wine.
It’s kind of like the dollar, who forgot about the
dime.
Paved with good intentions, a branch without the Vine.
Should’ve known, should’ve known…
But not this time, I’m willing, You
are able.
I come and dine. Sit at Your table.
It’s kind of like the desert, receiving it’s rain.
Oh, Lord I’m thirsty, come, fill me up again!
Should’ve known…should’ve known…
Now I don’t want to miss this moment at
the table with My King!
This I do in remembrance of You ‘cuz you remember me!
Should’ve known…should’ve known…That’s Your love for me.
So take this cup, lift it up.
‘Tis His blood, spilled for
us.
Take His bread.
Take it deep,
Come and taste, see how good is He!
Should’ve known…should’ve known…
Now I don’t want to miss this moment at
the table with My King!
This I do in remembrance of You ‘cuz you remember me!
