Fight Fire with Fire
(Acts 20:24; 1 Cor. 9:24-26; Heb. 12:1-3; 2 Thes. 2:16-17)
It took a while, but I said “Goodbye” to me.
And all the things that weighed me down, heavy on my
feet.
I’m dug in on the line; I’m ready to run.
Exploding out of the blocks at the shot of the gun!
I’m fighting fire with fire, oh-oh,
oh-oh.
Fighting fire with fire, oh-oh, oh-oh.
Let the Spirit burst into flame,
And sound off in truth, in Jesus’ name.
Fight fire with Fire.
No more standing around on the sidelines.
It takes years of blood and tears, but scars heal in
time.
Some may say there’s no way to overcome. Ha-ha!
Stupid snake, it’s your mistake, for I was born to
run!
Repeat Chorus
The heroes of faith surround this place. The world was not worthy of grace.
I can hear their cheers as the crowd goes wild. They’re on their feet, pulling for this
child.
I can see You there at the
finish line. I hear Your voice saying,
“you’re doing fine!”.
I cannot wait just to be with You. I’ll fall into Your
arms, it’s all I can do.
I love this place and I love this race. I cannot replace that smile on Your face.
I’ll give my best each day I’ve got. I’ll run to win. I’ll take that shot.
I can hear the beat of a heart for me. It’s pounding out a rhythm for my feet. I dance through the flames in Jesus’
name. I run down my lane.
I’ll never be the same and I love You. My Jesus I love You.
I’m fighting fire with fire.
