Meeting 11/7/20

"Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends!"  Phil. 4:1.

Paul is pleading with his fellow believers to be smart and tough in a deceitful and sinful world.  He has tried to set them a good example to follow.  And yes, they will indeed have a choice on which path they choose.  We are offered the exact same opportunity.  We've been shown the proper way to live and are called to walk in that example.  Stand firm and be strong in the LORD!  Remember who really loves and cares for you.  Don't lose sight of heaven and all of the motivation that brings to this life.  Make good choices.  Say "no" to temptations and trust God to provide for all of your heart's desires and needs.  He is your Good Shepherd.  He knows what is best for you.  You don't have to rush out and grab what you want.  He will take good care of you.  Don't worry.  Settle down and breathe.  Go to the Lord with your aches and longings.  He promises to satisfy every one of them.  Let go of your fear.  Let Him do His part.  You can count on Him.
