8.  Prodigal Son

(Luke 15:1-7, 11-32; 18:25; Matt. 18:10-14; John 10:1-18; John 17;

1 Sam. 17:34-37)

The wind of lust drives down the rain.

Ninety nine are restless, the thief is back again.

Is that the eye of the wolf or the killer of the lion and bear?

To seek and save or to kill and destroy? Tell me why you’re here.

Can you slay me?  Rearrange me?  Can you save me?

I in them and You in Me.  I in them and You in Me.

I in them and You in Me.  I in them and You in Me.

He talked of fame and riches, of glory I would find.

But glory have I none tonight as I eat among these swine!

My bones break free of the death grip, escape from the needle’s eye.

Into my Father’s arms I fall, real love I can’t deny.

Glory My Son, that We may be as one.

I in them and You in Me.  His glory is our unity.

I in them and You in Me.  The Father’s love in you and me.

I in them and You in Me.  To know Him is eternity.

You have slain me, rearranged me.  You have saved me!
